· Congratulations to the Cross Country teams for their outstanding performances at the Sierra Pacific 2-miler on Friday. The FS Boys took first place with Sophomores Frank Aquino, Cristian Galindo, Esteban Cox, Josh Bell and freshman Anthony Evens all finishing in the top 10. The Varsity women won their race with Freshman Elena Baltazar leading the way. Senior Alicia Muralles, sophomore Tori Suarez, Senior Hailee Julius, and Sophomore Sidney Muralles also medaled for the Lady Falcons. Freshman Ava Steward finished just out of the medals by finishing 16th in the varsity race. The Varsity Boys also won their race as Anthony Gonzalez led the way by running a new school record of 10:19 over the two mile course. Ricky Robles and Jacob Flores also medaled for the varsity boys. The JV Girls were led by medal winner Judi Arnold, and the JV Boys were led by Freshmen Zachary Valdez and Alexis Soto Leon. The FS girls finished in second place and were led by medalists Freshman Cynthia Fletes and Sophomore Jimena Rocha.

· Tennis today vs Monache -JV @ Monache – Varsity @ Home – matches start @ 4pm
· There will be an meeting for all girls basketball players in P-11, Today @ noon. If you have any questions seem Mr. Zetina in room P-11.
· There will be a meeting for all boys basketball players on September 4th during lunch in the gym. If you are going to play basketball this year you need to attend this meeting.
· Anyone interested in joining the boys or girls wrestling team this season, there will be a meeting in room 1125 TODAY during lunch. We will be discussing the upcoming season and fundraisers.

· Adventist Health is looking for student volunteers for their Winter/Spring Junior Volunteer Program. Students must be 15 years or older. Please go to our school website for more information and for the application. Go to "Counseling," "Counseling Homepage," and find "Community Service" on the right hand side.
· Starting on September 2, homework help and subject specific tutoring will be held in the library on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:45 to 4:00. A tutoring bus will be available all three days at 4:15. Check out the pink flyers posted around campus for additional details.
· Student store will be open after school @2:45 to sell various items – they will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

· The French Club will meet every Monday in room 813. Everyone is welcome! You don't need to be in a French class to be a part of the French Club.
· Come find out about this Saturday's "Star Party" in conjunction with the Kern Astronomical Society at Panarama Park! Meet in Room 901 at noon Thursday.
· The Hearts for Paws Animal Club will be having its first meeting of the year this Thursday at lunch. Come hear about the wonderful things your board members have planned for this year! Room 905 at noon on Thursday!
