Daily Bulletin 9/17/19

·         Congratulations to the cross-country teams for their amazing outing on Saturday! The varsity boys and the varsity girls both won their races at the Delano Invitational. Freshman Elena Baltazar was the top finisher for the ladies, taking second place overall. Tori Suarez, Hailee Julius, Ava Steward, and Sidney Muralles rounded out the scoring. Each Girl medaled and set a new PR. This is the third invitational win for the Lady Falcons. The boys won their first invitational title led by Anthony Gonzalez. Also medaling for the boys team were Cristian Galindo Salazar, and Frank Aquino. They all Set new PRs as well. Josh Bell led the FS Boys, Andrew Moreno led the JV Boys, Judi Arnold was the top JV Girl and Cynthia Fletes was the top finisher for the FS girls. Way to go Falcons

·         Tennis today vs Tehachapi – JV @ Tehachapi – Varsity @ Home – matches start at 3:30

·         Freshman Tailgate this Thursday @ the FS football game – Free Hotdog, Chips and a Drink. Tailgate starts @ 4pm. Don’t miss out.

·         It is NEON NIGHT this Friday for the home football game against Frontier. Show up in your best NEON gear and sit in the student section! See you there to root on your Independence Falcons!

·         Club Fair day in this Wednesday during lunch – this year we will be hosting club fair day in the gym.  Come over and check out all the clubs I.H.S. has to offer.

·         Homecoming shirts are now on sale in the finance office for $10.  Order yours today in the finance office.  The final day to buy a shirt is Monday the 23^rd.

·         Student store will be open after school to sell various items – they will be open @ 1:45 on Mondays, and 2:45 on Wednesdays and Thursdays

·         The CSF Drive for Spring 2019 membership ends September 19th. You can download an application from the IHS website found under the 'Academics' tab or pick one up from the Counseling office before school, during your lunch or after school only. Don’t wait until the last date to turn yours in – the line will be long.

·         The P.S.A.T. will be offered on Wednesday, October 16^th here at Independence. The price is $20. Juniors:  You may purchase your P.S.A.T. at the finance office this week September 16th – 20th.  Fee waivers are available for Juniors who have completed the application and qualify for free and reduced lunch. This is first come first served and we only 300 total tests. Don’t miss out.

·         Attention GSA member, please meet in the gym on Wed during lunch to help us with club fair day! Bring your rainbow gear

·         Operation Refugee Child is meeting at lunch today in room 603. Grab your lunch first. Meeting will begin at noon.

·         Attention Freshmen! Can you draw, dance, act or like to help out and make new friends? Come to our first freshmen homecoming meeting today in room 604.
