·          Girls Soccer meeting on Wednesday in the library during lunch.  Meeting will start @ 12:00. If you are interested in playing this year then you must attend this meeting.  

·         Pink out shirts are available for order this week only in the activities office. These will only be sold by preorder so stop by and get yours today!!

·         Attention Seniors - If you have not purchased a Senior shirt – they are now on sale in the finance office.  This order also offers a long sleeved t-shirt and a crew neck if you want to add to your order.  This will be the only other sale for Senior Shirts this year.  Pick up your order form in the activities office. 

·         The P.S.A.T. will be offered on Wednesday, October 16^th here at Independence. The price is $20. Freshman You may now purchase your P.S.A.T. at the finance office this week Fee waivers are still available for Juniors who have completed the application and qualify for free and reduced lunch. This is first come first served and we have already sold half the test available. Don’t miss out, get yours today.

·         Attention Students - the Free and Reduced Lunch Application link is on our school website. Even though all students now receive a free lunch and breakfast, it is still important to complete the application for supplemental funding for tutoring, classroom supplies, and SAT and AP test fee waivers. The link is family.titan.k12.com and the class with the most applications completed will win an ice cream party during lunch!

·         There is a Christian College Fair at Bakersfield Christian High School on October 16th from 6:00-8:00 PM. Please visit the Career Center for more details.

·         IT’S homecoming week – and here are your Dress up days – Disco Monday, wear tiedye and sequins, throwback Tuesday, 90’s neon, Western Wednesday, dress as a cowboy/girl or farm animal, Rock and roll Thursday, rocker clothes and crazy hair. Falcon Spirit Friday – wear Maroon and Silver!!
