Sports……
• Boys Basketball plays in the 2nd round of playoffs tonight here @ Independence. Game time is 7pm and doors will open @ 6 pm. Tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for Students w/ID. There will be no free ASB sticker entry tonight
• Congrats to our lady Falcons basketball team on a great season and a hard-fought playoff game last night. We are so proud of you.
• JV softball tournament today @ Liberty park. First game is @ 3:30 pm
• Way to go Falcon Athletes.
Announcements…..
• STAFF FAVORITE VOTING IS OPEN! Thank you for your nominations, now its time to vote! See the IHS website for the voting link. Voting closes Thursday Feb 20th at 2:45pm.
• TODAY - Feb 20th is the LAST day to order a yearbook. NO EXTRAS will be ordered. Visit jostens.com for payment plans or pay in full at the finance office. $90
• If you are planning to take an honors or AP class for the 2020-21 school year, applications are now available in the counseling office. You may also print an application online under the Counseling Page. Go to the Counseling drop down menu, go to forms/applications. All applications are due February 26.
• Applications for Airband are available in the Activities office. All Airband Applications are due on Tuesday February 26th - so pick yours up today.

Meetings…..
• Battle of the Books meets today to get a head count for the event. We will also vote on tshirt designs and get shirt sizes. Please go to the Library's Lab B at noon during lunch.
• Attention all juniors! Come to our class meeting today in room 619 at 12. We will be going over prom and clash of classes
• The NAMI Club will meet on Friday, February 21st during lunch. We will discuss club t-shirts and our poster party. New members welcomed.
• Hey Art club members, there is a meeting Friday the 21st in room 221 during lunch. Come sign up for our community service activity and make art.
This week is FFA Week, a week to celebrate agriculture and the FFA organization. Our chapter will be hosting daily events in the quad during lunch as well as having dress up days!

TODAY: There will be a petting zoo and the dress up day is Got Milk? dress like a cow or wear black and white
Friday: One lucky teacher or staff member will kiss a pig in the quad. and the dress up day is wear National Blue or Corn Gold!

The kiss the pig contest will also be going on all week, the teacher with the most money at the end of the week will have to kiss the pig in the quad on Friday!
The teachers participating are Mrs. Reese, Mr. Jacobson, Mr. Rodriguez, Mr. Boos, Mr. Taber, Mrs. Dearmond, Mrs. Varner, Mr. Bradley, Mrs. Sherill, Ms. Liz, Mr. P, and Mrs. Heiss
Make sure to put money in their jar is you want to see them kiss the pig
