• Varsity Boys Basketball are on their way to Valley and we are taking a rooter bus so you can cheer them on – permission slips for the rooter bus are available at lunch today in the activities office. All permission slips must be picked up today and returned tomorrow signed with your $10. See Ms Liz with any questions.

• The finance will be closed on Thursday and Friday, February 27th and 28th. Please plan accordingly.
• Adventist Health is now accepting applications for their Junior Volunteer 2020 Summer/Fall Program. This is a 6 month commitment which begins on Sunday, June 7th and ends on Saturday, November 28th. Please find more details and the application on our website. From the Independence website, go to Counseling, Counseling Homepage, and find "Community Service" on the right hand side. This information will also be posted on all Counseling Google Classrooms.

• Iron Man signups in the Activities office today at lunch – you must pick up a permission slip if you want to participate.
• Powder Puff meeting today in room 714 at lunch – this meeting is mandatory if you want to play powder puff

Black History Fact of the Day:: In March 1955, 15 year old Claudette Colvin refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery, AL bus, 9 months prior to Rosa Parks doing the same. Claudette was arrested but dedicated the rest of her life to fighting injustice.
