Good morning, Falcons!  It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for useless trivia! Today’s fact is about the humble armadillo.  Armadillos swallow air so they can float in water!  They can also hold their breath for 6 minutes!  Now that’s what I call useless trivia!

NAMI, which stands for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will have its first meeting during 4th and 5th period lunches in P10 today.  See Mrs. Elrod or Mr. Weaver if you have any questions.  Hope to see you there!

The refillable water stations in the cafeteria and library are available during lunch, before school, and after school. Please do not refill your bottles during the passing periods.

Drama Club will be meeting today at lunch.  Please go to Room 603 for 4th-period lunch and the PAC for 5th-period lunch.

STUDENTS:  Do not have any type of delivery sent to you at school.  We cannot allow you to accept DoorDash, flowers or any type of delivery on campus.

Applications for CSF are being accepted until September 25th.  Please visit the IHS academic programs page or the counseling office to learn more about how to apply.

Homecoming is fast approaching, so we’re going to need campus clubs and organizations to submit their 2 senior nominations for Homecoming Royalty by this Thursday.  For example, FFA, Choir, Pride, Volleyball, and Yearbook are all groups that can nominate!  Remember, you must have already submitted your club paperwork in order to nominate! Please submit the names via email to Mrs. Heiss.

Interested in participating in the Homecoming rally performance?  Please sign up with Ms. Liz or Mrs. Heiss in the Activities Office.

We hope to see you all at the Frosh/Soph football game against Frontier today!  Gates open at  4pm and the game starts at 5.  This is our last home game before homecoming, so come out to support our teams!!  Our Volleyball teams will also be competing today against Foothill, games are at 4, 5 and 6:15 - come check out this amazing group of athletes!

Next week we’ll be focusing on kindness - I think that’s something we could all use these days.  Stay tuned for details about the activities we have planned.
