Good morning, Falcons! Great to see all of your amazing costumes today!  Loving the spooky school spirit! Remember, tomorrow’s theme is “Falcon freakout” (wear your IHS colors or your Homecoming tee shirt).  Remember, we can’t wear full halloween masks or carry weapons of any kind on campus.

Mrs. Barker and the Media Arts class have created amazing Homecoming shirts to sell for only $5!  There are only a few left, so make sure to get yours today at lunch!

Remember, we have a huge rally planned for Friday - we’ll have class competitions, performances, and games - we’ll all be in the football stadium, so bring your energy and school spirit!

Friday’s homecoming game is going to be epic!  We’ll be playing against Tehachapi, and our halftime show will feature band, colorguard, cheer, theatre/dance, and even alumni!  Plus, we’ll crown our homecoming royalty and announce the winners of our class competitions!  This is one game you don’t want to miss!

Congratulations to the senior class for earning the most points for Kindness Week - you’ve earned ice cream!  Details to come soon!

Also, we collected $550 for the Jamison Center - huge shout out to Ms. Herrera’s class for their winning total of $160.52!  What an amazing act of generosity! We’ll get you details on your prize, as well!

Falcons! Happiness Hangouts are back! A monthly meet-up to learn skills for overcoming hardships and being your happiest self! This month, help us welcome our special guest, Carissa Pope from Evolvecore yoga studio for a mindfulness session after school on October 14th. You will not want to miss it! All students and staff members are welcomed. Look out for our Happiness Hangouts posters around campus for more details and sign ups or see Mrs. Gillenwater in counseling for more information.

Attention Lady Falcon Hoopers!  If you are not currently in a fall sport, conditioning/try-outs starts next Monday October, 11th, and will be Monday-Friday 3pm-4:15pm.  You must have been cleared by the Athletics Office to participate.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  We will meet in room 912 on the first day.  See you Monday!

Urgent announcement for all freshmen, sophomore, juniors, and seniors! You only have until THIS WEDNESDAY to submit your lunch form and help your class win an ice cream party. Forms are available on our website and in the counseling office. Remind your parents to submit yours today!

Attention seniors who will be applying to CSUB: Mr. Riggins is coming to campus today to give a presentation about CSUB and the application process.  The sign up sheet is on the Class of 2022 Google Classroom page.

Seniors who will be applying to any CSU campus - If you need help with the application or want someone to review it before you submit, our 1st CSU application workshop is October 13th. Sign up in the Counseling Office to reserve your spot.

If you’re 16 or older and would like to participate in the Blood Drive next Thursday, please use the QR codes on the flyers around campus to sign up for an appointment.  If you’re 16, you’ll need a signed permission slip from a parent/guardian.  Students 17 and older don’t need parent permission.

Our first food sale day is coming up on October 21!  We’ll be sending out a Google Form next week for clubs to sign up to sell food in the quad - looking forward to some KFC, Panda Express, and Boba!  Great, now I’m craving orange chicken.
