Good morning, Falcons! Today is National Farmers Day, so tell all the farmers in your life how much you appreciate all their hard work! Our FFA department just finished another successful fair season, so this might be a good time to ask about their experience! Just don’t ask about where their pigs and goats are at the moment - it’s a sore subject for some, as they’re gracing the dinner tables of families around California.
Our first blood drive of the year is THIS THURSDAY! Blood donation saves lives! If you’re 16 or older and would like to participate in the Blood Drive this Thursday, please use the QR codes on the flyers around campus to sign up for an appointment. If you’re 16, you’ll need a signed permission slip from a parent/guardian. Students 17 and older don’t need parent permission. Permission slips can be found in the Activities Office.
Falcons! Happiness Hangouts are back! A monthly meet-up to learn skills for overcoming hardships and being your happiest self! This month, help us welcome our special guest, Carissa Pope from Evolvecore yoga studio for a mindfulness session after school on October 14th. You will not want to miss it! All students and staff members are welcomed. Look out for our Happiness Hangouts posters around campus for more details and sign ups or see Mrs. Gillenwater in counseling for more information.
The Writing Club will meet tomorrow in room 617 during 4th period lunch and room 713 during 5th period lunch! Come by to hear about this year’s activities!
Drama Club will be meeting this Thursday during 4th-period lunch in room 603 and in the PAC during 5th-period lunch.
There will a BSU meeting Thursday, October 14th from 2:45- 3:45pm in room #1005.
Attention Star Wars fans! The Millennium Falcons are having their first club meeting on Thursday, Oct. 14, 5th period in Room 815. If you are a Star Wars fan or would like to learn more about the Force, stop by and check it out. Until then, May the Force Be With You!

Attention Lady Falcon Hoopers! Conditioning/tryouts have begun (3pm-4:15p, Monday - Friday) and if you are not in a fall sport, participation is mandatory. Be advised that this is part of the trying out process if you are not in a fall sport. You must have been cleared by the athletics office to participate. Any athlete not attending conditioning for other than medical reasons will not be allowed to participate this coming season. If you have any questions please contact Coach Zetina (912), Coach Davis or Coach Kirby (P9). See you out there!
Hey falcons! If you’re interested in playing soccer for the boys’ soccer team, please fill out an athletic packet online and make sure you have a 2.0 GPA in order to start conditioning. Seniors who will be applying to any CSU campus - If you need help with the application or want someone to review it before you submit, our 1st CSU application workshop is October 13th. Sign up in the Counseling Office to reserve your spot.
Any student who needs assistance with paying for AP exams should go to room 219 during 5th-period lunch today to get some information on how to get the exam paid for.
Our first food sale day is coming up on October 21! Your advisors received a sign-up form yesterday for clubs to sell food in the quad - looking forward to some KFC, Panda Express, and Boba!
