Good morning, Falcons!  Hope you all had a great weekend!  Today is the beginning of our “Pink-Out Week!”   October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so wear pink as often as you can, especially at Friday’s game, where we’ll be selling pink cotton candy as a fundraiser to benefit cancer research!  Also, we’ll be honoring seniors at all our games, so make sure to come out and support your fellow falcons!

Today’s fact: There are over 3.8 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.  If you have a cancer survivor in your life, take a moment and give them a hug today or, if they’re far away, send them a text to let them know you’re thinking of them.

We’ll have a table in front of the Activities Office every day during lunch this week where you can write on a pink ribbon and post it on a window to honor someone who has fought cancer.  There’s a suggested donation of $1 per ribbon.

Huge congratulations to our student artists for their amazing work this weekend at Via Arte in the Marketplace.  Kaitlyn Nickell, Kinsey Thompson, Unique Cervantes, and Bella Valasquez won 2nd place overall out of 11 high schools!  Also, our very own art teacher Ms. Rossetto won Best Technique on the professional artist side!  Way to make us proud, IHS artists!

Do you have talent?  Of course you do!  That’s why we’re excited to announce upcoming auditions for the 2021 Falcons Got Talent show!  Auditions will take place after school on October 26 in the cafeteria. We’ll provide a sign-up form in the next few days.  The show will be November 18th, and there will be CASH PRIZES!

Come out to support your amazing Falcon choir tomorrow in the PAC!  Our choir will be performing their first concert of the year at 7pm!

Make sure to come out and celebrate our seniors at the volleyball game on Thursday - all seniors are able to attend for free with their IHS ID!  Let’s pack the stands for our team!  Friday’s varsity football game will honor our senior players, as well as students in band, cheer, and color guard.

Our first food sale day is coming up on Thursday! Your advisors received a sign-up form for clubs to sell food in the quad - looking forward to some KFC, Panda Express, and tacos! Make sure all your forms have been submitted!
