Good morning, Falcons! Today’s fact: Although rare, men get breast cancer too. In 2021, an estimated 2,650 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year in the U.S. Thank you to everyone who has worn pink this week - if you get a chance, come take a look at the ribbons taped to the Activities Office window honoring those who have fought cancer.
Today is our first FOOD SALE DAY!! Get ready for some delicious food during both lunch periods today - we have Panda Express, KFC, churros, samosas, cookies, and more! Plus, we’ll have painted pumpkins for sale and puppy photos! I can’t wait! Hope you brought some extra money today to support our clubs and buy some treats!
Do you have talent? Of course you do! That’s why we’re excited to announce upcoming auditions for the 2021 Falcons Got Talent show! Auditions will take place after school on October 26 in the cafeteria. There’s a sign-up form linked on the IHS homepage, so sign up now! The show will be November 18th, and there will be CASH PRIZES!
Make sure to come out and celebrate our seniors at the volleyball game tonight - all seniors are able to attend for free with their IHS ID! Let’s pack the stands for our team! Friday’s varsity football game will honor our senior players, as well as students in band, cheer, and color guard. We’ll also be selling cotton candy and wearing pink, so come celebrate with us!
This is a special shout-out to the Girls Tennis Team! They will be wrapping up the season at the league tournament today! GOOD LUCK LADY FALCONS!
Next week is another action-packed week of activities - we’ll be focusing on RISE and anti-bullying, so get ready for some games, prizes, and - of course - a costume competition on Friday! Start prepping your costumes now - staff and students will be competing on our outdoor runway, and, if previous years are anything to go by, the competition will be fierce!
Attention students: AP tests must be paid for by Friday at lunch!
