Good morning, Falcons! Huge congratulations to our amazing football players - we crushed West High on Friday night! Thanks also to our awesome cheering section - what a great crowd! Loved all the Falcon spirit and support and all the pink! This week we’ll be battling Ridgeview on their turf - let’s try to pack the visitor stands and show them how Falcons support our players!
It’s getting chilly! Animal Club will be collecting gently used and new blankets for shelter dogs, many of whom sleep on cold concrete floors. Please turn them in to your 2nd period class. Winning class gets a donut party!
Do you have talent? Of course you do! That’s why we’re excited to announce upcoming auditions for the 2021 Falcons Got Talent show! Auditions will take place after school tomorrow in the cafeteria. There’s a sign-up form linked on the IHS homepage, so sign up now! The show will be November 18th, and there will be CASH PRIZES!
This week is another action-packed week of activities - we’ll be focusing on RISE and anti-bullying, so get ready for some games, prizes, and - of course - a costume competition on Friday! Start prepping your costumes now - staff and students will be competing on our outdoor runway, and, if previous years are anything to go by, the competition will be fierce!
We’ve planned lunch activities that coordinate with the RISE categories, so be prepared to play games and earn prizes! We may have to reschedule today’s lunch games, as it may be raining, but don’t worry - we’ll have them tomorrow!
Winter sport tryout times have been updated - please check the IHS website for the new times.
Seniors who are applying to any UC campus, our 1st and only workshop will be held on November 3rd during periods 1-4. Sign up in the counseling office before school, during lunch, or after school. The deadline to apply is October 30th.
Also, remember - the deadline for senior pictures is coming up! October 30!
