Good morning, Falcons! It’s the last week before break, so get ready for some fun holiday activities! Today is pajama and holiday sock day, so we hope you feel cozy in your pjs - personally, I think every monday should be pj day, but we can only dream… Tomorrow is “dress like an IHS teacher day,” so hopefully we’ll see lots of amazing costumes!
Congratulations to all the classes that decorated your doors - they were amazing! We’ll show them off in Wednesday’s News from the Nest! And now for the winners! Tied for 3rd place are: Mr. Ramirez and Mrs. Waybright! Second place goes to Mr. Parviainen! And our first place winner is: Mrs. Villareal in 219! Congratulations! You’ll receive donuts on Wednesday!
Teachers, please send one person from your 2nd period class up to the Activities Office with your bucket of change for the Ronald McDonald House.
Meet us out in the quad for a gingerbread house competition today! Show us who can build and decorate the best house! Prizes include candy and holiday socks!
Also for sale during lunch will be our Candy Cane Grams! Purchase some for your friends, staff, or secret crush! We’ll deliver them on Thursday and Friday!
Huge congratulations to our football team for their incredible work this season. Though they didn’t win over San Marin High, they deserve all the praise in the world for what the news called a “Cinderella story” of perseverance, work ethic, and determination. We love you, Falcons!
Congratulations to the Independence Speech & Debate Team for their success this weekend. Congrats to Haily Sharp & Vaugn Forsyth for taking 3rd, Allie Dean & Genisis Estevez-Herrera for taking 2nd, and Joclyen & Gisselle Torres for 1st place in JV debate this past Saturday at the BHS Debate Tournament on Saturday.
The Asian Student Union is hosting an Origami Social this Wednesday, December 15, after school! Meet in room 1006 for some peaceful, or chaotic, origami folding with some friends - snacks will be provided! Be sure to drop by, and we hope to see you there!
We have another blood drive coming up this Thursday, the 16th. Remember - you must be at least 16 years old to donate and everyone must get paperwork signed by parents/guardians.
