Good morning, Falcons! Today is “National Cuddle Up Day,” which is perfect, as there are puppies on campus! I might spend my lunch cuddling with one of those adorable pups - I think we should have them here for finals, too! Now that’s what I call emotional support!
Along with puppies, we have a wide array of treats available during lunch today! From Panda Express, to Boba, to Popeye’s chicken sandwiches, there’s something for everyone! Also, make sure to check out the clay sculptures from our Art Club and the t-shirts from our Media Arts Club!
We have another birthday on campus today! Give Ms. Jeannie Meza, security officer extraordinaire, a special happy birthday greeting when you see her zipping around on her golf cart today! We love you, Ms. Jeannie!
Attention Link Crew Leaders and freshmen! Tomorrow will be our first “Fun Friday” of 2022! Link Crew Leaders will be wearing their orange shirts and will be out during 4th-period lunch, so freshmen: look for your people! We’ll have music and games out in the quad, and you can also get some great advice about finals from your Link Crew mentors!
Students, if you are late to school and enter through the main office, be prepared to show your ID, wear a mask, and sign in with security. All students entering the office after the gates close at 7:45am must have an ID.
Come out and support our Falcon athletes today! Boys’ basketball and soccer teams are battling Tehachapi at home and girls’ soccer is facing off against Foothill.
Huge congratulations to our wrestlers! At last night’s duel, the varsity boys wrestling team beat the defending league champs Golden Valley 43-36! Key wins from Miguel Villarreal, Ethan Tafoya, and Brian Martinez. Go Falcons!
Boys’ tennis will have an informational meeting today after school at the tennis courts to discuss team expectations and requirements.
If you’d like to audition for the spring musical, please see Mrs. Kolberg for more information - auditions will be held January 27th and 28th after school in the PAC. This is going to be an amazing show, so if you have any interest in singing, acting, or dancing (or if you want to help with costumes, makeup, set design, or sound and lights), make sure to come out to the auditions!
Our art department will be hosting a showcase next Tuesday from 4:30 - 6:30pm featuring work from our incredibly talented Falcons. Pieces will be hanging in the library and administration offices and there’s no cost! Come enjoy work from our fine arts, graphic arts, and photography classes - they’re truly amazing!
Have a great Thursday, Falcons! Enjoy Food Sale Day, keep your masks on inside, and stay safe!
