Good morning, Falcons! Happy birthday to Mr. Shelton - we love you, Coach! It’s also the first day of March, which means it’s Women’s History Month! The National Women’s History Alliance designates a yearly theme for Women's History Month. The 2022 theme is "Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope." This theme is "both a tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and also a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history."
We’re currently planning a cultural appreciation week - more details will come soon, but if you’d like to represent your culture in dress, dance, language, and/or food, start thinking about how you’d like to showcase your heritage! If you’d like your club to be represented during that week, please attend our planning meeting in Portable 2 today during 5th-period lunch.
Seniors: If you ordered senior shirts/hoodies in the second round of ordering, you may pick them up during 5th-period lunch or after school.
Also, seniors, you must order your cap and gown! Don’t wait until the last minute - you can call or visit Jostens, or you can order from their website.
All permission slips for Iron Man and Powder Puff must be submitted this Friday!
Huge congratulations to our speech and debate teams - and especially to Olivia Miniard who will be progressing to State! Great job, Falcons, and congrats to Coach Larimer, as well!
Congratulations to the freshman class, which currently has the most RISE points! As a reward, freshmen will receive ice cream during 4th-period lunch on Friday! Make sure to have your IDs with you!

Scholarship Reminder! Attention, graduating seniors! If you are planning to attend college, university, or an accredited technical school following graduation, be sure to apply to the Kern County Foundation. Students with a GPA of 2.0 and higher are welcome to apply. One common application completed will be sent out to multiple organizations offering scholarships. Don’t waste an opportunity for free money!
