Good morning, Falcons!  Happy St. Patrick’s Day, and happy birthday to Mr. Jacobson!  I always suspected he was part Leprechaun!  Hope you’re all wearing green today!

Today’s Women’s History Month fact is about an Irish woman, since we’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, after all!  Countess Constance Markievicz is famous for being the first-ever female MP elected to the House of Commons.  An Irish Republican revolutionary, suffragist, and socialist, Constance is remembered as a woman who gave up her wealth to live amongst and help the poor.  Today, she is remembered by a proud statue near Trinity College in Dublin in which she is accompanied by her dog Poppet.

If you have a story about an inspiring woman you’d like to feature, please contact Mrs. Heiss!

If you bought a ticket for our Sadie Hawkins dance, we’ll see you at 3:30!  Let’s dance, snack, and celebrate finding gold at the end of the rainbow!

Congratulations to Cameron Brown, who won the dunking contest and was named MVP at the All-Stars game!  Way to make your Falcon family proud!  You can check out the boys’ and girls’ All-Star basketball games on Kernhighnetwork.com!

More congratulations to our Wind Symphony students, who earned a Unanimous Superior score at their competition on Tuesday!

If you are interested in playing girls’ basketball this summer and/or next season please see Coach Davis in the textbook room before school, after school, or during your lunch period to receive more details. You MUST sign up by Friday, March 31st if you want to participate in summer league.

CAL POLY would like to extend an invitation to all students, faculty, and staff to attend their 29th Annual Open House. Cal Poly's open house will be held on Thursday, April 7th to Saturday April 9th. This will be the first open house held in three years! Students will have the opportunity to experience Cal Poly's "learn by doing" philosophy. Learn about clubs and resources offered at Cal Poly and connect with current and future students.  A virtual presentation is available also. Stop by the Career Center for more details.

Have a great Thursday, Falcons!
