Good morning, Falcons! Happy Friday! Thank you to everyone who came out to our Sadie Hawkins dance yesterday - we had a blast! And a huge shoutout to our freshman officers for planning the event!
Today’s Women’s History Month fact is about our first female vice president, Kamala Harris! Harris is also the first African American and first Asian American vice president. Vice President Harris was born in Oakland, California to parents who emigrated from India and Jamaica. She graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Harris said, “My mother would look at me and she’d say, ‘Kamala, you may be the first to do many things, but make sure you are not the last.’”
If you have a story about an inspiring woman you’d like to feature, please contact Mrs. Heiss! Thank you to the people who have already sent in ideas! Keep them coming!
Remember, next week is our Cultural Club Crossover! Get ready for lunches filled with presentations, performances, games, and treats! Make sure to check it out!
Seniors, next Thursday we will be meeting for an informational assembly in the PAC during 3rd period. After that assembly, we’ll be taking our panoramic picture in the stadium, so make sure you wash your face that morning!
Our Food Sale Day has been rescheduled to April 21, so make sure your advisor knows to plan for that date.
Have a great weekend, Falcons!
