Good morning, Falcons! Happy birthday to theatre teacher extraordinaire, Mrs. Kolberg! We love you, queen!
Testing resumes today! California state testing for juniors continues this week with Math. Group A will test on Tuesday, periods 1-4. Group B will test on Wednesday, periods 1-4. Group C will test on Thursday, periods 1-4. All testing locations remain the same.
This week is our Spring Fling! Today is “Tacky Tourist,” so hopefully we’ll see some socks and sandals, fanny packs, and weirdly long shorts! Tomorrow is meme day, so dress up as your favorite internet phenomenon! Thursday is Hawaiian day, so wear your best tropical attire! Come out to the quad during lunch for music and games!

Powderpuff and Ironman games are today at 5:00 and 6:30! Come watch juniors and seniors battle it out on the volleyball court and football field! Tickets are $3 for one game and $5 for both, with proceeds benefiting the volleyball and football teams!
Today’s ASB meeting is during 6th period. Teachers, students should check in with you first before heading to P2.
Attention NAMI Club Members: There will not be a NAMI Club meeting this Thursday, April 7th, during either lunch period. Have a great Easter vacation.
Attention JUNIORS! T.A. forms for the next school year are now available in the counseling office at Mrs. Gillenwater's desk. Please DO NOT come during class time. Again, this is for current juniors only.
Juniors and seniors! The Army will be here Thursday to hold a push up contest in the quad during lunch. They will choose two winners. Those winners will receive tickets for the Army All Star football game at CSUB. Start practicing and good luck!
Remember, we have our next food sale day coming up the week we return from Spring Break! Make sure your advisor has submitted her/his finance office forms by TODAY!
Seniors, remember that information regarding graduation and end-of-year activities is posted on the IHS homepage!
Grad Night is SOLD OUT! No more tickets may be sold, no exceptions. Tickets for prom and senior activities are still being sold from the finance office. Please make sure you have all of your paperwork signed and your debt cleared before purchasing a ticket. Currently, we have approximately 350 remaining prom tickets, so make sure you purchase yours before they sell out! This week, prom ticket prices are $50 and $45 with an ASB sticker.
Remember, if you’re bringing someone from outside Independence to prom, you’ll need to have a form completed in the dean’s office.
Absolutely no tickets will be sold during class time. Please visit the finance office before school, after school, or during lunch.
