Good morning, Falcons! Happy birthday to Mr. Newfield - hope you can enjoy your birthday now that the Science testing is over!
Thank you to everyone who helped make our first indoor rally in 3 years such a huge success! Those dances were amazing - everyone who took part should be incredibly proud! Today’s theme is Y2K, or early 2000s. Think frosted eye shadow, Ed Hardy shirts, and pastel-tinted sunglasses - not the most distinguished era in fashion.
If you plan to play Girls Basketball this summer and/or next season, there will be a meeting TODAY in the Library during both lunches. Freshmen and sophomores will meet at 11 am, and juniors at 12:15 pm. If you are unable to attend, you need to see Coach Davis in the Textbook Room before school, after school, or during your lunch period to receive the information.
Congratulations to our baseball and softball teams for sweeping Golden Valley in every game on Wednesday!
Congrats to our boys’ tennis team for their win over St. Joseph’s Prep on Monday and for their 5 - 4 upset of Kingsburg on the road on Wednesday! They advance to the semi finals of the playoffs and head up north again on Tuesday!
The boys head up to Kingsburg tomorrow for their next match!
Attention JUNIORS! T.A. forms for the next school year are now available in the counseling office at Mrs. Gillenwater's desk. Please DO NOT come during class time. Again, this is for current juniors only.
PRIDE shirts are currently on sale for $12 in the finance office - make sure to fill out the digital order form. QR codes are located by the finance office, rooms 1104 and 701, and on the group REMIND. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Trent in 1104.
The last day to apply for the Yearbook class is May 1! If you requested Yearbook as your elective, you MUST complete the application on the school website.
Seniors, remember that information regarding graduation and end-of-year activities is posted on the IHS homepage! We’d also like to hear what your plans are for next year, so use the form linked on the Class of 22 Instagram page to let us know what you’ll be doing! College, work, gap year? We want to celebrate you!
There are only 80 prom tickets left, and the deadline to purchase them is next Thursday, May 5, at lunch. Don’t miss out! Please make sure you have all of your paperwork signed and your debt cleared before purchasing a ticket. Remember, if you’re bringing someone from outside Independence to prom, you’ll need to have a form completed in the dean’s office. Absolutely no tickets will be sold during class time. Please visit the finance office before school, after school, or during lunch. Also, please remember that you must arrive to prom before 8pm - no latecomers will be allowed.
Have a fabulous weekend!
