Also, graduation information has been posted on the IHS website under the “news” section. Information about Grad Night and other senior activities is also available on the website and on the Class of 22 Instagram page.
Reminder to all students from the dean's office: Water balloons, squirt guns, and fireworks of any kind are not allowed on campus. Students caught with water balloons, squirt guns, or fireworks will be suspended. Please do not jeopardize your enrollment at Independence or the safety of others.
Art Club is hosting a Chalk Drawing Contest on May 23rd and May 24th, right after school. We are taking over the ground outside of the Library and transforming the cement into works of art as part of our IHS Art Showcase! Family and friends can join in the fun, too. Materials will be provided and you do not need to have experience! $5 purchase in the Finance Office to participate. See Mrs. Rossetto in room 221 for more details.
During 6th and 7th periods today, our Link Crew Leaders for the 2022-2023 school year will get to know each other, play games, and plan some great activities for next year! We’ll be in the gym! If you were accepted into Link Crew, please make sure you complete the Canvas Check-in assignment before we meet today. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Trent in 1104.
Tomorrow, come celebrate the talents of our band, orchestra, colorguard, and drumline at the annual “Spring Fest!” Then, next Monday, May 23, our choir will be performing their last concert of the year! Don’t miss out on some amazing music and performances!
Our Visual Art Department will have their final showcase on Tuesday, May 24th in the library from 4:00 to 6:00pm. Come and see the incredible talent of our Falcon artists! Friends and family are welcome!
Attention Star Wars fans! Because of the minimum days on the next two Fridays, the Millenium Falcons will be meeting on Thursday the 19th and Thursday the 26th. This is the way!
Have a great Thursday! And remember, tomorrow is a minimum day, so we’ll be getting out at 11:52!
