Good morning, Falcons! Hope everyone had a great day yesterday! This new schedule will take some getting used to, but it sure was nice not having to get up at the crack of dawn!
Speaking of dawn, tomorrow morning is Senior Sunrise! Seniors, come enjoy the first Friday of your last year of high school! There will be donuts, giveaway prizes, music, a photo booth, and games - plus, the coffee/lemonade cart will be there if you’d like to purchase a beverage! This is a great opportunity to celebrate your senior year with your friends - at the end of the year, we’ll celebrate again with Senior Sunset. Meet us at the football ticket booth at 6am tomorrow!
Today’s trivia question is about our school colors! If you can name the IHS colors, you’ll get a prize during lunch! Just find a person wearing a maroon ASB shirt in the quad!
ID cards will be available for pickup again today during lunch!
Remember, if you need a schedule change, please complete the Google Form on the Counseling Homepage of the IHS website. Your counselor will call you up as soon as they can!
Best of luck to our Frosh/Soph football team as they travel to play against Pioneer Valley today - go Falcons!
Next week is our first Spirit Week! Check out our Instagram page for more details! Plus, next Friday we’ll be hosting our first rally in the gym! We’ll celebrate the new year, along with our athletes and cheerleaders! Plus, there will be some awesome games, and we’ll see which class can chant the loudest!
On Marvel Monday, wear your favorite superhero shirt and/or cape!
On Tuesday, we’ll celebrate our Royal Junior Class by wearing tutus and tiaras - gentlemen included!
Wednesday will be Jungle Cruise Safari, celebrating our Adventurer Sophomore Class: wear your best tourist gear or safari outfits!
Thursday will reflect our Illuminator Freshman Class, so we’ll wear our best stripes or checks in true Cars fashion!
Friday - rally day - we’ll wear IHS colors, maroon and silver!
Freshmen! Are you interested in helping run the school’s activities? Want to help plan dances, rallies, and other fun events? Keep your eye out for the ASB application that will be available next week!
Back to School packages are now available for purchase in the Finance Office before school or during lunch! It’s a great way to get discounted prices on important school items, like yearbooks, shirts, and ASB stickers! Remember, all game tickets must be purchased online this year, so an ASB sticker is definitely worth it, as it allows you to get in free to all Kern High games!
Seniors, it’s time to order your packages, too! Get personalized shirts and hoodies to celebrate your final year! Order forms must be completed with your purchase - forms are available in the Activities Office. Back to School and Senior packages are only available until September 1st, so get yours now!
