Good morning, Falcons! Loving all the tutus and tiaras on display today! Don’t forget - tomorrow is “Jungle Cruise Safari,” so wear your best tourist/explorer gear!
This Friday we’ll be hosting our first rally in the gym! We’ll celebrate the new year, along with our athletes and cheerleaders! Plus, there will be some awesome games, and we’ll see which class can chant the loudest!
Thursday will reflect our Illuminator Freshman Class, so we’ll wear our best stripes or checks in true Cars fashion!
Friday - rally day - we’ll wear IHS colors, maroon and silver!
PE clothes can be purchased in the finance office. Any attire sold from the finance office can be worn for PE. Visit the IHS website for more information!
Teachers, our ASB meeting will be held today during 5th period. Students should check in with you at the beginning of the period and then head to the meeting. You should have received a list of all ASB officers for you to check if you have any questions.
The finance office will be closed tomorrow morning (Wednesday, 8/24). Please plan accordingly.
SENIORS: Please schedule your Senior portraits with InMotionPro. All seniors' photos must be submitted by October 31st and MUST be taken by InMotion. The session is free. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Trent in 1104
It's not too late to come out for girls’ golf! If interested, see Mrs. Jacobson in PE, ASAP!!!
If you’d like to renew a club (or start a new one), please complete the forms on the IHS website on the “Club Information” page. Existing clubs will need an application for continued recognition and a club budget form. New clubs have more requirements, which are listed on the website, as well. Remember, you’ll need to find a teacher to be your advisor! You must submit all of your club paperwork in order to participate in Club Fair Day or any fundraising activities!
If you are interested in joining the PRIDE Club, we will be meeting in room 1104 during lunch this Wednesday. Grab your lunch and come on over. We will be discussing officers and planning upcoming events.
Attention Falcons! If you like to play chess or would like to learn, then come to our chess club meeting on Wednesdays in Room 815. Feel free to bring your lunch! Everyone is welcome!
Freshmen! Are you interested in helping run the school’s activities? Want to help plan dances, rallies, and other fun events? The Freshman ASB application is available on our website and Instagram page! There will be a mandatory meeting during lunch on August 30.
Students, if you are interested in buying a yearbook, buy one now! Books are currently at their lowest price of the year. They can be purchased in the finance office with a class package, or on Jostens.com. If you purchase online, we offer personalization and payment plans! Books are presale only! We only receive a few extras and last year we sold out. Don't miss out! You can also purchase your senior ads on Jostens.com. Once we sell out, they are gone!
Back to School packages are now available for purchase in the Finance Office before school or during lunch! It’s a great way to get discounted prices on important school items, like yearbooks, shirts, and ASB stickers! Remember, all game tickets must be purchased online this year, so an ASB sticker is definitely worth it, as it allows you to get in free to all Kern High games!
Seniors, it’s time to order your packages, too! Get personalized shirts and hoodies to celebrate your final year! Order forms must be completed with your purchase - forms are available in the Activities Office. Back to School and Senior packages are only available until September 1st, so get yours now!
