Good morning, Falcons! Happy Friday!  Come join us as we cheer on our JV and Varsity football teams at Frontier tonight!  Wear your best maroon and silver gear!  Remember, you get into all Kern High games free with an ASB sticker!

CSF is accepting applications until September 23rd. They can find the application in the counseling secretary desk or the IHS website.

Attention all Jedi and Sith Lords! The Millennium Falcons will be meeting in room 815 today. Everyone in the galaxy is welcome...even Wookies!!

The countdown to homecoming has begun!   The sophomore class - otherwise known as the ADVENTURERS, invites you to set sail with us on an Ocean Adventure!  Make sure to check out the IHS instagram for more info about dress-up days, class responsibilities, and the dance!

Tickets for the homecoming dance will be on sale starting on Monday, September 19.  You must submit a signed dance contract in order to purchase a ticket. The dance contracts are available in the Activities Office. Pre-sale tickets are $15 or $13 with an ASB sticker.  The dance is Saturday, October 8 - here at IHS - from 6pm to 9pm.  If you buy your ticket at the door, the price is $20.  Remember, the finance office is open before school and during lunch (except for Mondays, when it’s open for an hour after school).  Pre-sale tickets will only be available for purchase from September 19 to October 4.

Sophomores, you’ll be meeting today during lunch in room 613 to start planning for your portion of the rally!

Freshmen, you’ll have your class meeting today, too, in the PAC during lunch!  Come meet your new officers and your class advisor, Mrs. Kolberg!

Club/class/sports/other advisors: Today is the deadline for submitting nominations for homecoming royalty! Please submit the names of two seniors for homecoming royalty!  Nominees will be notified next week and will need to pick up an application in the Activities Office.

SENIORS:  Please schedule your Senior portraits with InMotionPro.  All seniors' photos must be submitted by October 31st and MUST be taken by InMotion.  The session is free. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Trent in 1104

For everyone who is not a senior, you should have received photo order forms in your English classes this week - remember, picture day is Monday, September 19!

If you want to participate in Club Fair Day, please make sure to have all of your paperwork submitted to the Activities Office today so ASB can approve your club!  Forms are available in the Activities Office.  Sign-ups for Club Fair Day will be sent to advisors on Tuesday!

Seniors, we’ll be having an assembly to review some important information on Monday, September 19.  You’ll find out about cap and gown ordering, and other important information - this year will fly by and we want to make sure you’re prepared!

Have a great weekend, Falcons!
