Good morning, Falcons!  Huge congratulations to the varsity football team for “wiping out the Wolfpack” at our homecoming game on Friday!  Let’s keep that same energy for our game this Thursday - it’s senior night and Pink Out, so get ready to cheer on our team!


Congratulations to the 2022 Miss and Mr. Independence, Libby Clear and Kekoa Sefo!!


Seniors!  This Wednesday, 10/19, Josten’s will be on campus to take cap and gown orders during lunch!


Remember, this Thursday is our first Food Sale Day!  We’ll have Popeye’s, Jamba Juice, donuts, KFC, and more!  Make sure to bring some extra cash that day!


Next week is the beginning of our Spooky Spirit Week!  Check out our Instagram for more details!  We’ll be having our annual Staff and Student Costume Contest on Monday, October 31st, so start planning your costumes now!


Tonight is “Junior Parent Night” in the cafeteria from 5:30 - 6:30.  Please RSVP using the QR code on the Parent Center page of the IHS website.  Dinner will be provided.


Tomorrow night, IHS will be hosting a parent informational event regarding drug awareness in the PAC.  Please contact the Parent Center for more info.


Struggling with math?  There is math tutoring on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  Tuesdays will be in Room 1001 with Mrs. Malson; Wednesdays will be in Room 1006 Mrs. Bramer; and Thursdays will be in Room 1003 with Ms. Lopez.


Spanish Honor Society will meet in Room 814 today during lunch to discuss upcoming events and our new board members. 


Guitar enthusiasts! Remember there is a Guitar Club meeting tomorrow during lunch in room 1002!


Falcons! Tomorrow is the first ever California Mathematics League Competitive test, (a.k.a. “the CAML test”) at Independence! Look for this in your math class! If you score high in the six tests this year you will win a prize in the Spring!


Hey Falcons! Do you like helping others? Do you like not paying for lunch? Do you like winning a donut party for your first period? If so, you're in luck!  The lunch application deadline has been extended through October. Remind your parents to fill out the form online or get a paper copy in the dean's office.
