Good morning, Falcons! Hope you all had an amazing weekend!
Formal tickets will be going on sale next Monday, December 12! We’ll be hosting a “Night Under The Stars” at the beautiful Hidden Garden on January 21!
Don’t forget - we start Dime Wars and Adopt a Star today!
Here are the details for Dime Wars:
During your 2nd period class, you will collect funds that will go towards purchasing items for the children at Memorial Hospital through the Ronald McDonald House.
The class with the most positive points gets to choose between a donut or pizza party. So, you are competing against other 2nd-period classes.
All dimes put into the containers are worth 10 positive points. Any other currency [pennies(-1), nickels(-5), quarters(-25), dollars(-100 per denomination)] are worth negative points. So, in order to stop the other 2nd-period classes from winning, you need to sabotage those classes by putting money other than dimes in their containers. Please keep track of your totals each day!
Please be considerate of class time and sabotage before school, during lunch, or after school (but only if the teacher is in the room). You can also sabotage during passing period if the teacher is present…but students cannot be late to class.
Finally, you can actually win as a “loser!” The class with the most negative points wins a donut party!!!
Adopt a Star is also starting today! If you’d like to help a local child have a happy holiday, please select a star from the tree in the front office. There will be information about the child, including age and interests, so you can find something they’d enjoy! Please remember: these must be new, unwrapped presents.
Attention NHS Members! There will be an NHS meeting today at lunch in room 604. We will discuss upcoming events, so make sure to be there.
Attention Marvel Fans! The Marvel Club will meet today at lunch in room 605. We will be ranking the phase 4 projects, so be there, or be square!
