Good morning, Falcons! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
This week is School Counselor Appreciation Week! This year’s theme is “Helping Students Dream Big!” One way our amazing counselors do this is by guiding each student along their unique journey, be that college, career, or both! If you’re feeling overwhelmed, ask your counselor to help you draw up a roadmap for your future goals! Counselors, we appreciate you!
February is Black History Month, so we’ll be featuring contributions from Black artists, inventors, and activists this month. This week, we’ll be featuring a musical tour of Black artists during lunch, starting with Motown. The Motown sound is a style of rhythm and blues music named after the record company Motown in Detroit, where teams of songwriters and musicians produced material for girl groups, boy bands, and solo singers during the 1960s and early 1970s. The music of Motown helped a small record company become the largest black American-owned enterprise in the country and a national music industry competitor in the United States.
Seniors! Jostens will be on campus during lunch today - make sure to order your cap and gown!
A message from the Deans and Police Officer: Reminder to all students - no student parking is allowed in any of the staff parking lots. All students must park in the student parking lot at Old River and Falcon Way. Student vehicles may be cited or towed if found parked in a staff parking lot. Thank you.
Congrats to our JV, Frosh-Soph-2 and Frosh-Soph-3 teams for their victories against Ridgeview and Foothill at last Wednesday's match.
