Good morning, Falcons!  In honor of Women’s History Month, we’ll be recognizing the important achievements of women in Kern County!  From the Bakersfield Californian: “Mary Dodge was the first woman police officer in Bakersfield. The year: 1941. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Dodge was a teacher before she was a police officer. She aced the police department's entrance exam and, in 1953, became the first woman in California promoted to lieutenant.”

Speaking of inspiring women, it’s also Social Work Month, so we’d like to recognize our amazing social worker, Angelica Barajas!  She is an incredible resource for our campus and is a champion for students’ mental health!

Today is the final day of the Link Crew scavenger hunt!  Today's challenge is to take a photo with your counselor.  Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 students who complete the scavenger hunt.  Come to the quad during lunch to collect your prize.

Reminder:

  • Monday's challenge was to take a photo with an art teacher.

  • Tuesday's challenge was to take a photo with Mr. Boos (Teacher of the Year).

  • Wednesday's challenge was to take a video of yourself doing a burpee or a squat.

  • Thursday's challenge was to take a video of yourself performing an act of kindness on campus, such as picking up trash.

Have fun!!

Huge thanks to all the clubs who participated in yesterday’s Food Sale Day! We had the largest number of vendors ever - and such a great selection!  We’ll have our last Food Sale Day on April 13, so don’t worry if you didn’t get to try the crepes - you have one more chance this year!

It is not too late to sign up to play boys’ tennis!  No prior experience is necessary - come by the athletics office for more details!

Today is the last day to pay for CSF!

The yearbook presale deadline is TODAY. We sold out of books last year. This is your last chance to guarantee a book. Yearbooks are $95 and can be purchased in the finance office. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Trent at [email protected].

Permission slips for both Powderpuff and Ironman are available in the Activities Office.  Anyone interested in participating needs to bring the signed form to the informational meeting.  Powderpuff candidates will meet on Monday, March 6 in room 714 at lunch.  Ironman candidates will meet today during lunch in room 807.

Have a great weekend, Falcons!
