The Daily Falcon: Monday, November 18, 2024

Congratulations to our Falcon Marching Band and Colorguard on winning the Northern California 6A division Championship - they have qualified and will be traveling to the C.S.B.C. State championships this coming weekend - Way to go Falcons.

This month is the time to show some gratitude and BSU and YWEL are here to help! Starting this week, spend $1 and buy a Gratitude Gram to share with friends, teachers, or anyone who’s made a difference. Each Gram is a personalized note with a sweet treat attached—perfect for saying ‘thank you’ or spreading some positivity. Look for our table at lunch November 18th through November 20th! We'll be grateful to see you there!

The Bakersfield College Career Exploration workshop will be held in the library on November 19th. Please see your counselor if you are interested.

ROC and CTEC presentations will be held on November 19th during periods 3 and 5. Please see your counselor to sign up.

Formal is January 11, 2025. The theme is “A Night in Wonderland.” Tickets go on sale beginning Monday, 11/18. A few reminders:
All debt must be cleared before you may purchase a ticket.
You need a dance contract for each dance.
If you are planning to bring a non-IHS student, you will need a Guest contract.
All contracts can be picked up in the Activities office.

Attention SENIORS, if you placed a personalized t-shirt or sweatshirt order with The Class of 2025, your gear is ready to be picked up! Please stop by 613, Miss Sherrill's room, before school, during lunch, or after school.

The last day to bring non-perishable food items is tomorrow. Look through that pantry and see what you have. Collection boxes are available in each classroom. The 2nd period class that collects the most items will win a donut party. Thank you for your generosity!

Hello Falcons- It is time for one of the most popular events on campus! Yes, that is right...it's time to talk about FALCONS GOT TALENT! Each year, we watch as our talented classmates show off their skills and we want to see your talent this year.
If interested, scan the QR code that is on the school website, on the Instagram page, or on flyers around campus. DON'T DELAY, scan the QR CODE TODAY! Like always, there will be cash prizes for the top talent.
Do you have questions? Stop by room 613 and chat with Miss Sherrill.

Don’t forget about our Fall blood drive on Thursday, 11/21. Turn in completed forms to the Activities office. Additional forms are available in the Activities office. See Ms. O’Mullan for any questions.

Quote of the day: Develop an ‘attitude of gratitude.’ Say thank you to everyone you meet for everything you do.
