February is National Black History Month. Each day this month we will provide you with interesting facts.

Today’s fact: William Tucker was the first Black person born in the 13 colonies.

Our next blood drive will be held on February 13th. Permission slips are available in the Activities office.

Congratulations to our Academic Decathlon Team on their 4th place finish at the Kern County Competition. This is our best finish at IHS. The team earned 11 individual medals going to Addyson Evens, Emmy Tafoya, Alyssa Bernal, and Normaniey Diaz. Normaniey Diaz was the overall first place winner in her division.

Do you like to cook? We are holding a cooking contest. You may pick up an entry form in the cafeteria. The contest is on April 24,2025. Entry forms must be submitted by March 31,2025. Drop off the forms in the Activities office.

Show your friends, favorite teachers or that special someone how much you appreciate them with a Valentine's Gram! Each gram will include a sweet treat and a special message for only $2! They will be available to purchase at lunch in the quad from February 11th-13th! Don't miss out and spread some love this Valentine's Day!

Speaking of Valentine’s day. What better way to spend time with your favorite Valentine than watching a movie. There will be a Valentine movie night on Thursday, February 13 from 4p-6p.

CSF applications are now available. Come to the counseling office before school, lunch or after school to pick up the application. It is also available on our website. Deadline to apply is February 7th.
