Students from IHS competed in Math Field Day at CSUB over the weekend. Congratulations to the 21 participants who participated. The following students received awards:
Raniya Bekeri got 1st place in the Junior Varsity Individual Medley.
Emiliano Rios got 4th place in the Varsity Individual Medley.
Emma Dean got 1st place on the Junior Varsity Chalk Talk with her presentation on Graphing Trig Functions.
James Bramer participated in Math Humor and received an award for “Most Humorous” with his performance of the song Shivers - Math Parody.
Lakshi Dasanayake, Guneet Kaur, Kermina Rasned and Naomi Purify got 2nd place
in the Varsity Team Medley.
Raniya Bekeri, Naomi Worthy and Emma Dean got 3rd place on the Junior Varsity Team Medley.
Mrs. Flores, Miss Torres and your math teachers are very proud of all of you.
Juniors, state testing begins this week; please check with your English teachers to make sure you know when and where you are testing. Remember to demonstrate excellence so you can earn a spot at the BLVD!
And the winner of the HBCU Door Decorating contest is…………. Drum roll please. Ms. Sherrill with a score of 95%!!! Great job! Your 5th period class are the winners of a donut party compliments of BSU.
2nd place was Ms. Stout and Mr. Wood. 3rd place was Mrs. Rosetto.

A Message from the Dean's Office: As the weather is starting to warm up, please remember that our dress code will be enforced. No tube tops are allowed to be worn on campus. Also Please be aware that we have a strict zero-tolerance policy for confetti eggs on campus. Any student who throws or smashes an egg will be subject to disciplinary measures that may include suspension.
Do you like to cook? We are holding a cooking contest. You may pick up an entry form in the cafeteria. The contest is on April 24,2025. Entry forms must be submitted by March 31,2025. Drop off the forms in the Activities office.
