Prom Royalty applications are now open. Please come by the Activities office for an application. Applications are due by this Friday 4/11

Our last food sale of the year will be held on Thursday, April 10. You can use RISE points to get an early out pass. Limited passes are available. See Mrs. DeLeon in the Career Center for more information.

Attention Seniors, there will be a Senior Assembly on April 9 during periods 2 and 3. You will also be taking your panoramic photo. Wear white, school colors or your senior shirt for the photo.

Please remember that we have a zero-tolerance policy for any type of confetti eggs. Students who engage in this practice will face strict disciplinary measures.

Come to the quad each day during lunch to enjoy Culture Week activities.
4/8 – Will be hosted by BSU/YWEL
4/9 – Will be hosted by Spanish Honor Society
4/10 – Will be hosted by Giddha and Sikh Club. It will also be our Final Food sale of the year.
4/11 – 2 hour early out with lunch after 7th period so there will not be any activities on this day.

The Great American Cleanup High School Challenge will be held Saturday, April 26. The school with the most volunteers will receive a trophy and cash prize. IHS has a team! If you would like to be a part of this team, see Ms. Escobar in room 817 or Ms. Juarez in room 814.

IHS BSU and YWEL Members. If you are looking to be a part of our 2025-2026 cabinet as a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, or Historian please pick up an application from Mrs. Harris or Ms. Lyons in room 1005 or 703. Applications are due this Friday April 11th. Please come to room 703 if you have any questions.
The Strong Body Club competed in the Bakersfield College Powerlifting Competition Saturday:
Austin Atwood earned first place in the 155-pound weight class with a 3-lift total of 795 pounds.
Chrisopher Estrada earned first place in the 225+ pound weight class with a 3 lift total of 1105 pounds.
Nam Tran earned 2nd place in the 170-pound weight class with a 3 lift total of 1000 pounds and had the top overall deadlift at 430 pounds.
David Santos earned 2nd place in the 140-pound weight class with a 2-lift total of 545 pound.
Austin Prather earned 2nd place in the 185-pound class with a 2-lift total of 570 pounds.
Daniel Poppewell earned 2nd place in the 225+ pound weight class with a 3-lift total of 805 pounds.
Cy Martinez earned 3rd place in the 170-pound weight class with a 2-lift total of 540 pounds.
Mike Williams earned 3rd in the 225+ pound weight class with a 2-lift total of 680 pounds.
Overall, there were 15 personal records set in the competition by the Strong Body Club.

Attention Seniors!
Your class officers are putting together the Class of 2025 Slideshow for Senior Sunset. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are searching for pictures (or videos) that represent every student these past four years. If you have photos from field trips, special programs, sports, clubs, silly classroom pics, performances, debates, ceremonies, plays, concerts, Ag events, rallies, contests, dress-up days, formals, prom, etc, we want them! In addition to the pictures, please tell us what songs you would like us to feature.

The last day to submit pictures/videos/songs is Friday, April 25!
