Congratulations to our Boys Varsity Tennis team for winning the CIF Central Section Division 5 Championship! Way to go!
Emma Bell won Thespian Scholar last night at the PEAAK awards honoring her achievements in theatre and leadership throughout her four years as a Falcon! Out of the numerous nominees, she represents the best of the best throughout the district. Congratulations Emma! We are so proud of you!
Here are some important Tutoring reminders: 1-The last day of tutoring will be Thursday, May 22nd. There will be NO tutoring held the last week of school. 2- Due to end of the year activities going on in the library, tutoring will be held in classrooms: Tuesday, 5/20 in room 819, Wednesday, 5/21 in room 901, and Thursday, 5/22 in room 1003. There will be a flyer posted on the library doors listing the tutoring classrooms for the week.
Guitar club's final performance, A.M.P will be May 23rd on the outdoor stage from 4:30-8:30pm with music by local bands including a staff band! $5 at the door and there's a buy one get one free deal for seniors of $3!!
All PE and sports lockers need to be cleared out no later than Friday, May 25th. Locks must be turned into the PE office. Lost and unreturned locks will be charged to your debt screen. This applies to all athletes who have been issued a lock and locker any time this school year.
The new Eastside Aquatic Complex on the campus of Highland High School is scheduled to be completed on June 8th. They need lifeguards to work over the summer as well as throughout the school year during water polo and swim seasons. They are recruiting for lifeguard positions at the Kern Aquatic Complex near CTEC. Lifeguards may be current KHSD students or high school graduates. Attention Seniors! If you did not purchase a Grad Nite ticket, you need to buy a Senior Activity ticket in order to participate. You can purchase a ticket for the low price of $20. This will get you into the Senior events during the final week of school. That includes Tuesday’s breakfast and activity, and Wednesday’s Senior Sunset with tacos! Tickets will be on sale until 5/16.
