BAFF, also known as the Big Art and Food Festival, is coming SOON! There will be amazing food and beverage trucks, arts and crafts for sale, FREE art activities, and good vibes! All ages welcome. Mark your calendars and bring your families, friends, and wallets on Monday March 23rd from 4-6pm here in the IHS Quad to enjoy this amazing event!

Congratulations to our Boys Varsity and JV Tennis Teams for a massive weekend on the courts!
First, a big shoutout to Varsity for battling their way to a 2nd place finish at the Arvin Tournament! And to our JV who crushed it at the Wasco Doubles Tournament, bringing home 3rd place! Incredible job to both Tennis Teams for representing Independence. We are proud of your hard work and sportsmanship-Go Falcons!"

Congratulations to all the students who participated in Math Field Day on Saturday. Emma Dean got second place in Chalk Talk, and James Bramer got third place in Math Humor. The Varsity Team Medley and the Junior Varsity Team Medley both received Honorable Mention. Mrs. Flores, Miss Torres and all of your math teachers are very proud of you!

Congratulations to the Speech and Debate team for their strong performance at the National Qualifier this weekend. Andy McQuilliams and Leslie Bertram were finalists in Duo Interpretation, finishing 5th overall in the Valley. In addition, Mai Nguyen earned the position of 1st alternate to the National Tournament, 3rd overall, with their Program Oral Interpretation (POI). We are proud of the team’s hard work and dedication as they continue to represent Independence with excellence.

If you are interested in running for an officer position in YWEL, BEST, or BSU, there will be an informational meeting on March 12th during lunch in Room 1005.
We will review officer roles, application requirements, and the election process.
