IHS invites you to join us for a UC Santa Barbara campus tour! Reserve your spot now!

The Kern High School District is moving to an online ticketing system only. Avoid the wait and purchase your athletic contest tickets online. We encourage all tickets to be purchased online prior to the game. Students who purchase an ASB sticker can attend all KHSD games for free

Parents of freshmen and sophomores are invited to an info session on Tuesday, September 19, at 6pm in the Performing Arts Center.

Parents of IHS seniors: Please join us at 6pm on Wednesday, September 6 in the PAC for an important meeting about graduation requirements, college applications, senior activities, and more!

Independence High School was selected as one of the top five Kern County schools to have successfully implemented, provided evidence for, and was able to articulate promising practices having shown effectiveness and sustainability.

We'd love to see you at our Freshman Orientation event on August 11, from 8:30 - 12:00 in the IHS gym. Parents, you're invited to an info session that same day from 8:15 - 9:15 in the cafeteria.
