Greetings, Falcon Families!
Welcome back to school. We hope you enjoyed your Spring break. Can you believe there are only a few more weeks left in this school year? This year has gone by so quickly.
We had another incredible turnout for the second Freshman registration night. Future falcons and their parents/guardians looked eager for the next four years to begin. Our staff is eagerly awaiting their arrival and cannot wait to welcome them on our campus.
Our final food sale of the year was another success. Students had a hard time choosing between all of the delicious vendors. We also celebrated the various cultures on our campus. Giddha and Sikh club shared their music and dances. Listos and Spanish Honor Society played Loteria. Asian Student Union shared their favorite treats. Students joined Black Student Union and YWEL in dancing to their favorite music. We have such a diverse group of students on our campus and students enjoyed each presentation.
This week is a short yet busy one. Our last rally of the year will be on April 24th. Students will be voting for 25-26 Class officers on April 25th. Listos will be holding their annual Car Show on April 25th. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket, please contact Mr. Lee Varela. Prom tickets are currently on sale. Prom will be held at Hidden Gardens on May 3rd.
Students continue to conduct state testing. They are working hard to demonstrate their mastery of academic standards. AP testing will begin in May.
There are only a few more weeks left in the school year. Please encourage your students to remain committed to their academic success. If your student is struggling in a particular subject, he/she is welcome to attend our after-school tutoring sessions. Tutoring sessions are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school until 5:15pm in the library. A late bus is provided. IHS also offers 24-hour access to Tutor.com, which provides individualized academic support.
