Greetings, Falcon Families!
Graduation is coming quickly. Our staff is working on this amazing event. We are so proud of our graduates and cannot wait to celebrate them.
Our Boys Tennis team is deep into the playoffs. The Varsity team will be playing in the Valley Championship on Tuesday. We wish them the best! Spring Sports Awards night is May 19. We look forward to honoring our Spring athletes.
Last week, we celebrated our RISE students. Several students were nominated by their teachers for displaying exemplary behavior throughout the year. We also celebrated our seniors during the Rise to Success (College Signing Day) assembly. Students were able to share which college they will be attending and what they will be studying. We have so many incredible students!
Advanced Placement exams began this week. Best of luck to all of the students who are taking the exams.
Attention parents of Seniors! Please remind your students that graduation is an important event in their lives. They do not want to do anything that may jeopardize this celebration. This includes attendance, behavior, senior activities, etc. We want to see each of our students graduate.
There are just a couple more weeks left in the school year. Please encourage your students to remain committed to their academic success. If your student is struggling in a particular subject, he/she is welcome to attend our after-school tutoring sessions. Tutoring sessions are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school until 5:15pm in the library. A late bus is provided. IHS also offers 24-hour access to Tutor.com, which provides individualized academic support. Please be aware that the last day of tutoring is May 22. Interested in more ways to get involved at IHS? Looking for some additional resources? Our Parent and Family Center is here to help! Find out how to become an “observer” on Canvas to track your student’s academic progress. Our Parent and Community Center Liaison, Dolores DeLeon, has organized many events throughout the year to provide critical information, support parent involvement, and build community among our families! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 661.834.8001 - we appreciate your support! Sincerely, Guillermo Alvarado, Ed.D

Senior Activities
Seniors, if you did not purchase a Grad Nite ticket, you need to purchase an activities ticket for the low price of $20. During the final week of school, this will get you into the Senior events (with a catered breakfast and dinner). That includes Tuesday's breakfast and activity, and Wednesday's Senior Sunset with tacos!
