Greetings, Falcon Families!
Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Tennis team for winning CIF Central Section Division 5 Championship. We are so proud of you!!! Spring Sports Awards night is May 19. We look forward to honoring our Spring athletes.
Band, Drumline and Colorguard held their final concert of the year last week. They worked hard all year and it has paid off. Each of our students performed incredibly.
Although this year is not over, we are already making plans for summer school and the 25/26 school year. Summer school schedules will be mailed this week. Please contact your student's counselor for questions or changes.
Grad Nite at Universal Studios Hollywood is May 22. Seniors are reminded to check the Band app for information about buses, what to bring and not to bring into the park, as well as additional details about the night.
Attention parents of Seniors! Please remind your students that graduation is an important event in their lives. They do not want to do anything that may jeopardize this celebration. This includes attendance, behavior, senior activities, etc. We want to see each of our students graduate.
There are just a couple more weeks left in the school year. Please encourage your students to remain committed to their academic success. If your student is struggling in a particular subject, he/she is welcome to attend our after-school tutoring sessions. Tutoring sessions are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school until 5:15pm. Check the bulletin for changes in room locations. A late bus is provided. IHS also offers 24-hour access to Tutor.com, which provides individualized academic support. Please be aware that the last day of tutoring is May 22.
Interested in more ways to get involved at IHS? Looking for some additional resources? Our Parent and Family Center is here to help! Find out how to become an “observer” on Canvas to track your student’s academic progress. Our Parent and Community Center Liaison, Dolores DeLeon, has organized many events throughout the year to provide critical information, support parent involvement, and build community among our families!
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 661.834.8001 - we appreciate your support!
Sincerely,
