Greetings, Falcon Families!
Welcome back from a much-needed break! As we return for the final stretch of the first semester, it is imperative that our students focus on demonstrating mastery of the concepts and skills they have learned in the past several months. Please encourage them to attend our after-school tutoring sessions available on Tuesdays through Thursdays (late transportation provided) or access our online tutoring support on tutor.com. We even have a special evening of tutoring oriented to our newest Falcons - our annual "Cocoa and Cram" will be held in the cafeteria on December 19 for 2 hours after school. This is an event in which both teachers and Link Crew Leaders will offer tutoring and guidance, along with hot cocoa for some holiday cheer, before finals begin.
Aside from academic preparations, we are looking forward to several of our beloved traditions in the upcoming weeks. Our annual "Falcons Got Talent" show, produced by the Class of 2024 officers, will be held on Thursday, November 30! Come out and support our incredibly talented Falcon singers, dancers, and musicians! December 7 is the opening night for our Winter play, A Christmas Chaos, which runs through Saturday, December 9. Then, our choir and band will present their holiday concerts (December 12 and 14, respectively).
Winter Formal tickets will go on sale starting the second week of December! With the theme of "Night of a Thousand Lights," the dance will be held at the beautiful Batey Gardens at the Kern County Museum on January 27, 2024, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm (students must arrive before 8:00pm in order to gain entry). More details regarding pricing, guest contracts, and royalty applications will be forthcoming.
