Counseling Corner
Senior Parents! Reminder that we are having our first "Cash for College" night (Financial Aid) on Tuesday, January 16th from 5:30-7:30 in the Library. Counselors visited Econ and Government classes on Wednesday (January 10th) and helped students create their FSA ID. They were asked to go home and help parents create Parent FSA ID's. This is necessary to start the FAFSA process and will serve as the electronic signature when you get ready to submit the application.
Report cards were mailed out on Friday, January 12th for the 1st semester, so please keep an eye out for those in your mailboxes!
Tutoring will resume on Tuesday, January 30th in the cafeteria from 4:15-5:15.

We had a great first week back and are already busy with this semester's activities and events!
Winter Formal tickets are currently on sale! With the theme of "Night of a Thousand Lights," the dance will be held at the beautiful Batey Garden at the Kern County Museum on January 27, 2024, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm (students must arrive before 8:00pm in order to gain entry). More details regarding pricing and guest contracts are available on the IHS website and Instagram.

Find out how to become an “observer” on Canvas to track your student’s academic progress. Our Parent and Community Center Liaison, Dolores DeLeon, has organized many events throughout the year to provide critical information, support parent involvement, and build community among our families!
